Kingdom taste

Kingdom taste

The air is clear, birds sing, and a chill breeze promises a good day. No one is awake yet. We’ve arrived a day early to prepare for a week when 70 children and 30 leaders will gather around God’s Word. The site is new, with pods instead of tents. Everything is unfamiliar, but with my cup of tea (I am English), I look around, ready for the excitement and the mountains of food to come. Why do we do this year after year? It’s a taste of the Kingdom. We’re in the countryside, far from town, with no WiFi to distract. Days will be full of Bible study, discussion groups, and wholesome fun. Fellowship will overflow as we work together in the shared love of Scripture. We cannot yet grasp how glorious life will be when Christ returns, but this reminds us of what’s coming, a time without sorrow or sadness, when our lives will be transformed and our only purpose will be to serve our God. “Look, God’s home is now among his people…He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation 21:3-4) Come, Lord Jesus, quickly. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Rev21v3-4 (Helen M)
