Such a Time as This

Such a Time as This

Every second of your life — all 86,400 of them in a single day — is ticking inside a divine clock. What can feel like random events and chance meetings is, Scripture says, something far more deliberate. Solomon captured this beautifully in one of the Bible's most beloved poems, writing, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." (Ecclesiastes 3:1) He then lists contrasting pairs — a time to be born and a time to die, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time for war and a time for peace — before arriving at a striking conclusion: without God, all this activity becomes a burden. Yet tucked into Ecclesiastes 3:11 is the missing piece: God has made everything beautiful in His time, and He has set eternity in the human heart. That eternity found its perfect expression when Jesus stepped into His appointed moment. Mordecai's challenge to Esther still echoes across the centuries: "Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14) The question lands on us too. How are we spending our seconds? Paul urges us to "walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time." (Colossians 4:5) You are not here by accident. You are here on purpose, for a purpose, in His perfect time. (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Ecc3v1, bit.ly/ecc3v11, bit.ly/est4v14, bit.ly/Col4v5
