Look around

Look around

We recently stayed at a lodge next to a popular five-day hiking trail. Each morning, we saw hikers come past. Being the fourth day of their journey, they were getting tired. A staff member, who had watched countless hikers come by, told us there are two types: Those who walk in a straight line, heads down, with only the final destination in mind. And those who walk side by side, chatting, stopping to look at the incredible beauty around them. The sad thing, he said, is that the first type misses the incredible treasures scattered around them. Both groups will reach their destination, but only some will see and experience the abundant treasures along the journey. Many of us miss the treasures God wants to give us in our life’s journey. We can be so focused on the final gift that we forget God has told us – “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” (1 John 5:11). If Jesus is in your life, then God “has given” (past tense) you eternal life – the life of eternity. This abundant, full, incredible life is already yours. So look up because TODAY you can experience the fullness and wonder of God‘s life. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/1jo5v11 (Sarah J)
