Every year in November, we have a Moovember challenge. It requires us to walk a committed number of kilometers each day, and it is a challenge indeed. Whenever you get a chance you need to be moving, and when one day's goal has been met the next day arrives and you have to do it again. Besides the obvious health benefits, there are other unintended benefits too. We get to spend more time enjoying the outdoors, having conversations and meeting people. And so while it takes effort, the benefits are amazing. The same applies to our spiritual lives. We are called, not to a religion where we sit, but to a movement. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6). He is a path, and a path requires movement to traverse it. In fact the early Christians were called The Way (Acts 9:2). It's in movement that we connect with people, that we form relationships, that life is enriched. Too easily we can lie on our "mat" of work or routine or apathy and not walk with the Lord. But like he said to the lame man, he says to us – "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." (John 5:8). Where will you walk with the Lord today? (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/joh14v6, bit.ly/act9v2, bit.ly/joh5v8
