We are getting married this year, and like everyone always says, a wedding is expensive. You just say the word “wedding”, and everything is triple in price. Recently, I was looking at some wine options for the reception. As we are serving nice drinks before the reception, my thought was we could serve cheaper wine at the reception. And then I was immediately reminded of the wedding of Cana when the master of ceremonies said, “A host always serves the best wine first, then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!” (John 2:10). The phrase “you have kept the best till now” is what really stood out. A friend of mine always says, “The best is yet to come” because no matter what trial we are going through we know God’s plan; God’s coming Kingdom is infinitely greater than we can ever imagine. “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9). We have a hope that we can look forward to – the hope of everlasting life. The best is yet to come. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Joh2v10, http://bit.ly/1Co2v9-10 (Kayla B)
