His power

His power

“I am working really hard to make sure that I am worthy of God. I keep failing, but I’m determined to try harder so that all the things I desire will be granted.” It’s human for us to want to achieve things in our own ability and strength. And it’s equally human to want our desires fulfilled. However, the problem also lies in being human. We do not possess the ability to make ourselves worthy. We do not have the wisdom to know which desires are good. God knows that we seek these things, but the key is not our strength or worthiness – but God. “With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.” (2 Thessalonians 1:11). It’s God who makes us worthy. It’s God’s power that brings our desires for goodness and deeds prompted by faith to fruition. This should be our daily prayer – realising our need for God and releasing control to him. What plans can I release to God’s power? “Lord, I pray that you will make me worthy of your calling. I ask you, in your almighty power to bring to fruition my every desire for goodness and my every deed prompted by faith. In the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.” Open Bible – https://bit.ly/2th1-11
