If you are faced with a seemingly impossible challenge, how would you approach it? You stand beneath a towering, impenetrable wall – you can't get over it or around it, yet somehow you need to get through it. God's wall-removing solution is silence and praise. This is what he instructed Israel as they stood outside Jericho. "Then the LORD said to Joshua, 'See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands…March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams' horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.'" (Joshua 6:2-5). And this is exactly what they did – silence followed by loud praise, and the impenetrable walls crumbled. This same approach is what we need when facing life's troubles. "Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today…The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." (Exodus 14:13-14). It is not our power that overcomes the impossible, but God's. "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit," says the LORD." (Zechariah 4:6). Silence and praise can overcome what no human strength ever can. (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Jos6v2-5, bit.ly/Exo14v13-14, bit.ly/Zec4vs6
