We were blessed recently to attend a large church conference. It was pretty different to our small local church gathering. Everything was at another level. The singing and worship were incredible. The connections made were amazing. The energy and passion was awesome. It truly was a celebration of praise and fellowship. By the end, we left feeling energised and inspired by the experience. While we now return to everyday life, we carry with us the lessons, the friendships, and the love of God we experienced. God instituted many festivals into the Jewish calendar. Much like our modern-day conference, these festivals were intended to remind the people of essential lessons and encourage them in their daily journey. Setting aside special times to worship God and develop relationships is vital to our spiritual growth. They are celebrations that enthuse us as we continue on life’s journey. “They rejoice in your name all day long; they celebrate your righteousness.” (Psalms 89:16).
