Meditating on Psalms

Meditating on Psalms

I have found so much inspiration, hope and encouragement from the book of Psalms. Memorising some of your favourite verses can help you as you face life’s challenges. Today I would like us to meditate on some of the words of David in Psalm 143. David offers us sound wisdom on how we should approach each day. We need to meditate on the work of God in our life – “Remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.” (Psalm 143:5). We need to reach out to God and seek him with all our heart – “I spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land.” (Psalm 143:6). We need to entrust our future into God’s hands – “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” (Psalm 143:8). And then we need ask God to be our teacher – “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” (Psalm 143:10). Today try and memorise some of these verses and recite them as you wake up, during your day, and as you go to sleep at night. God’s word is living and active and has the power to change your life forever. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/psa143, http://bit.ly/READMore_ (Nicky B)
