Wars, floods, deadly viruses, earthquakes, famine, people who are lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. There is no doubt we are living in the last days. Even scientists and environmentalists are warning us that unless something changes drastically, this world as we know it is heading for catastrophe. Greed, hatred, envy, selfishness, pride, and arrogance have brought us to this point. What is our response to this catastrophe? Do we live each day in fear or do we bury our heads in the sand and pretend everything is normal. Or, do we listen to Jesus? “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near”(Luke 21:28). In fact we are told that even “the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” (Romans 8:22). God has a beautiful plan to create a new heaven and a new earth. A world filled with his love, beauty and glory. A world where people reflect his character. A world where creation is restored to its former beauty and glory. A world where there is no more pain, death, sickness or suffering. Let us pray for Christ’s return. Let us lift up our heads in hope, for truly our redemption is drawing near. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/luk21v28, http://bit.ly/rom8v22
