If we say the W word our dogs will get hyper excited. “Walkie” will raise them from slumber to look at us with eager expectation. They watch our every move for confirmation that the wonderful news they believe is about to happen is going to happen. Their anticipation is so cute as they wait to see if we reach for their dog leads, a guarantee that a joyful walk is about to begin. This should be our anticipation for God and His love in our lives. “I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven. As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he shows us his mercy” (Psalms 123:1-2). We spend our lives waiting in anticipation for many things. It could be a holiday, a bonus, or even negative things like bad news or fearful events. But we are called to be fixated on one thing, our Lord. To expect His goodness to be poured out on us, and ultimately the whole world. Today, where will you look? What will you expect? “Stand and look up, for your salvation is near!” (Luke 21:28). Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Psa123v1-4, https://bit.ly/luk21v28 (Craig B)
