Peace the World Can’t Steal

Peace the World Can’t Steal

We live in a world filled with uncertainty. Threats of world war, rising fuel prices, corrupt governments, and artificial intelligence threatening job security can easily rob us of our peace. How do we navigate life without being overwhelmed? Scripture gives us the answer. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV) Peace begins when we surrender our need to control everything and trust the Creator of the universe to direct our lives. Yet trusting God doesn't mean ignoring the influences that shape our hearts. As we place our circumstances in His hands, we must also bring our minds under His authority. Paul tells us to "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5, NIV). This means guarding what we allow in through media we consume, conversations we entertain, and thoughts we dwell upon. Paul then gives us a practical pattern for peace: focus on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. When we fill our minds with these things and put them into practice, we receive this promise: "And the God of peace will be with you" (Philippians 4:8-9, NIV). Surrender your worries to God, bring your thoughts under Christ's authority, and fix your mind on what is true and worthy of praise. The world may remain troubled, but as you trust God and practice these truths, your heart can rest in His perfect peace. (Nicky B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Pro3v5-6, bit.ly/2co10v5, bit.ly/Phi4v8-9
