What do you do outside of church? Of course, attending every Sunday service is an amazing feat and shows how important meeting with God every week is to you—but are you limiting your relationship to this weekly time slot? Whenever I walk out of church, I feel spiritually uplifted and assured for the coming week, and this is a feeling I’m almost addicted to experiencing. It’s something I crave, which leads me to join Bible classes during the week to double down on this feeling, as there’s nothing better than God’s presence in my day. This feeling is best described in 1 Peter 2:2, which states, “Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation.” Our journey with God is a continuous one that lasts through our whole lives, and yes, there are weeks where we don’t feel like we have the time to spend with Him, but we should still make it a habit to find extra room to do so. Why? Because that feeling after an amazing church service is the presence of God, and it’s one we should try to feel every day of our lives if we can, as it’s the true reward of our faith.
