Promises. The world is full of them. Politicians make promises they don’t keep, and even we fail to follow through on commitments to others. Yet when someone delivers on a promise, it strengthens trust and deepens relationships. God has made many promises, and He will fulfill them—all He asks is faith. Faith to trust His timing, faith to wait on Him. In Zechariah 2:10, He gives this beautiful promise: “Shout and rejoice, O beautiful Jerusalem, for I am coming to live among you.” The God of the universe promises to dwell with us. And He will fulfill this. “The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent” (2 Peter 3:9). God is patiently waiting for more to believe. Share the good news. Have faith. He is coming.
