Three gifts from God

Three gifts from God

I recently had the blessing of enjoying my birthday. A fun part of this is getting gifts from my family. While this is such a wonderful blessing, imagine receiving gifts from God. In 1 Corinthians 12, the apostle Paul writes about “gifts of the Spirit”. He then lists them, and the gifts are impressive – gifts like knowledge, speaking in different languages, and healing. However, he then says, “Now eagerly desire the greater gifts” (1 Corinthians 12:31). What could be greater than these? He shares the three gifts that remain when these other gifts are gone – “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13). These are divine gifts given to believers. Faith, a gift that fills the gap between what God says and I believe. Hope, a gift that fills the gap between what God promises and I have. Love, a gift that fills the gap between what God gives and I deserve. These three greatest gifts from God will transform your life. God wants to give them to all his family. We just need to be willing to receive them. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/1Co13v13, http://bit.ly/1Co12v31
