Just 10 minutes

Just 10 minutes

As I write this reflection, I’m giving myself ten minutes to share what’s on my heart. So often, we long to do something meaningful, but we convince ourselves we don’t have the time. There’s the call you meant to make. The walk you keep putting off. The Gospel meditation you promised to write, or the Scripture reading waiting quietly in the background. When something feels uncomfortable, uncertain, or demanding, we delay – hiding behind busyness. But I’ve started a simple habit: give it ten minutes. Just ten. It’s short enough to quiet the excuses. And once we begin, we often find the task manageable – nourishing, even. Our hearts settle. Our minds clear. We feel connected again, to God, to ourselves, to others. Proverbs reminds us, “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” (Proverbs 14:23). There’s wisdom in small steps. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single movement forward. So today, choose that movement. Offer ten minutes to something that matters. It may just become the start of something that changes your life, and blesses those around you. (Nicky B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Pro14v23
