We’ve all heard the saying, preparation is key. Do we apply this principle spiritually enough? Easter is coming up, the resurrection at the very centre of our faith, where our Saviour gave up his life for us. What will we do for him as we prepare to remember this greatest moment in human history? Easter is not something we should let sneak up on us, as its importance encompasses far more than just one day. 1 Peter 5:6 states, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” Use this time leading up to Easter to humble yourself before God, give up something that has a vice on you, or do something purely for the benefit of another. If God can give up his only Son, we too should sacrifice as we prepare to remember the resurrection, and the ultimate day when God shall lift us all up and call us to his kingdom.
