In Genesis 19, just before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot is hosting two angels for a meal when a violent mob surrounds his house, demanding to do evil. It’s a stark contrast—inside are those walking with God, outside are those lost in sin. This echoes the story of Noah’s Ark, where the faithful were safely inside while others were left behind. Genesis 19:10 says, “But the two men staying with Lot opened the door, pulled him back inside the house, and closed the door.” That door is symbolic of God’s protection and judgment. Lot had once chosen Sodom because it looked like Eden, but the world’s beauty is deceptive. It offers temporary pleasure, not lasting peace. Only God’s way leads to true life. We are faced with the same question today—are we safely inside God’s ark, or slowly stepping outside? The choice is ours. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Gen19v10 (Jean-Luc H)
