The path of resistance

The path of resistance

It’s easy to do the easy things – to choose the path of least resistance, just like water flowing down a mountain. We often opt for the easiest route, whether in work, health, or even faith. This is why our generation is so captivated by short-form videos and AI; they offer the simplest forms of entertainment and the easiest solutions for work. But just as water always finds the lowest point, so too the easiest route often leads to the lowest achievements. Consider the gym: there is no exercise machine that effortlessly leads to weight loss. It’s through resistance that we build muscle and shed fat. Similarly, Matthew 16:24 teaches us, “Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.’” The world urges us to go with the flow, to do whatever is easiest and most pleasing. Yet, if we do this, we surely end at the lowest point of our lives. Rather, choose the path of greatest resistance, deny yourself, follow Jesus, and discover the joy of ascending the pinnacle of a fulfilled life. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Mat16v24 (Joshua B)
