We are currently seeing high numbers of dark “black butterflies” in the Western Cape, flying alongside white ones to create a beautiful picture of God’s creation. Known as the Cape Autumn Widow, they have only one brood a year. The larvae take a full year to mature, and the adults emerge all at once in April. Locals call them “Paasvlinders” (Easter Butterflies). What a beautiful lead-up to Easter and the reminder of Jesus’ resurrection. Butterflies symbolize significant transformation, spiritual growth, and the start of something new. Jesus died for our sins, sacrificing His life so that we may have eternal life. He wants to work a profound transformation in us, revealing the truth that He is alive and risen from the dead. As 1 Peter 1:3 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (Ingrid J) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/1Pe1v3
