I have sat and listened as politicians have spoken with conviction about their promises. I’ve sat and listened while business leaders have spoken with belief in their vision. Yet how often have I sat and listened to the greatest voice of all? It shouts the loudest, makes the boldest claim, promises the most, yet all without words. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world” (Psalms 19:1-4). Sitting in God’s beautiful creation for a moment, silent, I begin to hear. The birds cared for by him. The warm sun, giving life and light. The buzz of an insect pollinating plants. The gentle breeze, His Spirit giving life. He is speaking, shouting in more ways than we can know, He is here. He cares, in every detail. We need to “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Take a moment to hear his voice. Step into His cathedral. Look. Listen. Breathe. Feel. Know what he promises. (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Psa19v1-4, https://bit.ly/psa46v10
