Wow. Wow. Wow. This is something our one year old grandson loves to say. He is in awe of the smallest things, pointing at a flower or a bird, looking up at the moon. We seem to lose our sense of awe for life as we get older, especially the awe of the simple things. Maybe it’s because we get over-saturated, over-engrossed in material things. Yet there is wonder in the ordinary, or rather, the extraordinary all around us. Scripture reminds us that the wonder never left, we simply stopped noticing it. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:1). Every flower, every bird in flight, every moonlit sky still speaks of his greatness. The extraordinary has always been present in the ordinary. Perhaps awe is not something we lose with age, but something we must intentionally recover. Yet greater than all this, the wow above all wows is what happened on a quiet early morning when the angel said, “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” (Matthew 28:6). Even if you have lost your wow for the everyday, take a moment to consider the wow of this day. Jesus has risen, and because of that everything changes. Wow. Wow. Wow. (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Psa19v1-4, https://bit.ly/Mat28v1-6
