Plants with thorns

Plants with thorns

When you consider plants, especially in game reserve territory, you quickly notice how nearly all of them have thorns. This is because nearly everything wants to eat them from herbivores to insects. Not only do they have thorns to try and stop creatures eating them, they also have an advanced chemical defense system. If a tree is being eaten by an animal it sends out a signal to surrounding trees warning them that animals are in the area. The surrounding trees then release chemicals that cause this foliage to taste bitter and the animals leave them alone. It's incredible to what lengths plants go to protect themselves. What lengths do we go to protect ourselves spiritually? There is a constant assault on our moral code, beliefs, and very relationship with God from social media to government. We need to arm ourselves. "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." (Ephesians 6:11). But also we need to help and warn each other of the dangers. "Encourage one another and build each other up." (1 Thessalonians 5:11). How will you help protect someone today? (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Eph6v11, bit.ly/1Th5v11
