We headed to an Airbnb to celebrate my birthday, but when we arrived it smelled of smoke and looked nothing like the photos. Disappointed, we found a last-minute alternative – and it was amazing. Same area, completely different experience. We had a wonderful time. It got me thinking: where you stay matters enormously. The world offers many misleading "pictures" of life. The influencer's perfectly curated life – filtered, staged, hiding the emptiness behind the lens. The executive who "has it all" – the title, the salary, the corner office – and can't sleep at night. The party scene that promises belonging but leaves people lonelier than before they arrived. Many rush to "stay" in these houses only to find disappointment. Yet God invites us into his home – a place of real relationship, love, and meaning. "My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:2-3). The world's highlight reel will always fall short of what it promises. But God's house never disappoints. What house will you choose to celebrate life in? (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Joh14v2-3
