Majors, not minors

Majors, not minors

Don’t go major on the minors. Disagreements are part of everyday life, and they can lead to tension between friends, family, and all too often, believers in Christ. When we focus and scrutinise every detail of both life and faith, we aren’t truly focusing on ourselves, but on the world around us. When we do this, we allow the world to influence us rather than God within our relationships. Proverbs 11:2 reminds us, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.” Going back to the original statement, this is why it’s good to focus on the ‘majors’ in your life and faith, because we can quickly let smaller things affect our joy and our relationships. Keep the ‘majors’ major and the ‘minors’ minor, and it will help you leave your pride at the door in any discussion. As the Proverb states, be the humble one, be willing to learn, and this is the way God intends us to live with one another. (Jean-Luc H) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Pro11v2
