Life Richer Than Forever

Life Richer Than Forever

In one of the most beloved verses in Scripture, God offers the greatest gift imaginable to all humanity, the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. Yet the life Jesus offers is far richer than many realize. In John 3:15, the Greek word translated "life" is zōē. This word means far more than biological existence. It speaks of life in its fullest sense, the spiritual life that comes from God, In John's writings, zōē is not merely life that lasts forever. It is a relationship with God, spiritual vitality, fellowship with Him, and participation in the very life that originates in God Himself. This is why Jesus could say that believers already possess eternal life. It is not only a future hope but a present reality. Sadly, the Pharisees missed this gift. Jesus told them, "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life… yet you refuse to come to me to have life" (John 5:39-40). The life God freely offers through His Son is the key to a transformed life. Through the spirit of Christ living within us, we are guided by His wisdom and grace, enabling us to reflect His character more fully each day. As John later testified, "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." The source of true life is not found in knowledge, achievement, or religion, but in a living relationship with Jesus Christ. (Nicky B). Open Bible – bit.ly/joh3v15, bit.ly/Joh5v39-40
