The driveway

The driveway

Recently, we experienced catastrophic flooding that destroyed many homes in our area. In addition to our homes being flooded, our road and long gravel driveway were totally destroyed. While I had always been aware of other risks to our home, like theft or, fires or even flooding, I had never considered the impact of losing our road and driveway. This loss of access has cut our house off from everything. While we can now walk a muddy track to get to our home, there was a stage when not even this was possible. It struck me that you can have the most peaceful and beautiful home, but it is nothing if you can’t reach it. God offers us a home with him that is beyond anything we can imagine—a place of love and, joy and peace. However, our sinful lives mire us down in mud that cannot be traversed. The good news is there is a way. “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). Come to Jesus, regardless of how unworthy you feel you are, and he will give you access to his Father and a home and life like none other. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh14v6, http://bit.ly/READMore_
