We celebrated Father’s Day recently, and one thing we decided to do was find a verse that we felt related to our dad. The verse I chose was “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). Growing up, we have always lived in a household with a strong faith, including God in every aspect of our lives. My parents always showed us how important it was to make time for God, not just by going to church but in everything we do. It is something that I am so grateful for. It made me realise the importance of this verse. It wasn’t just because of my parents that they decided to raise us this way; it was how their parents raised them. Their parents taught them the importance of serving God. It’s a powerful lesson they have given us to one day do the same for our future kids.
