The joy, the tears, the laughter, and the applause all mingle together in a weave of celebration at the graduation. I’ve attended many graduations as a lecturer, but this one is special as each student’s struggles and strengths are shared at this celebration. Their paths, all different, have not been easy, yet despite this they have completed the course and an exciting future lies ahead. What’s made the most difference is the course leader. Despite the students’ failures and self-doubt, he never gave up on them, he never stopped believing in them, and he never stopped helping them. I’m reminded of the ultimate graduation. This is a picture of God’s promise to us. His promise through our course leader, who not only leads our course but completed it himself (Hebrews 12:2). It’s a picture of us at the ultimate graduation of life, receiving the crown of enteral life, despite our struggles and fears. It’s a picture of our course leader, Jesus, beaming with love at those who celebrate a new future beyond anything ever experienced before. What joy and tears, laughter and applause mingle together in a weave of celebration, “knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:24). Soon. Very soon. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/col3v24, http://bit.ly/heb12v2
