A bird’s lesson

A bird’s lesson

About six weeks ago, I noticed a bird on our balcony, its beak full of mud. Curious, I asked my husband, who explained it was a swallow building a nest. At first, all I saw was a small splodge of mud on the wall. I doubted it could become anything significant, but then I remembered Matthew 6:26: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.” God cares for the birds. As the swallows worked tirelessly, we faced our own challenge—selling our house and buying a new one. Some days, my faith was strong; other days, I doubted God’s will and timing. But as I watched the swallows’ nest take shape, I was reminded of God’s provision. Their nest, once just a splodge, became perfect. On Christmas Eve, we learned the house we’d been praying for was ours. Through it all, God had been working for our good. Psalm 13:5 says, “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.” This verse comforted me, reminding me to trust God’s plans. What about you? Are you trusting Him? He cares for the birds—and even more for you. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Psa13v5, https://bit.ly/Mat6v26 (Ingrid J)
