Where is home?

Where is home?

Our homes are important to us. We spend a lot of time and attention on them—working to earn enough to pay rent or a mortgage, and beautifying our house or garden. Often, we can spend more time obsessing over our home than we do with our Heavenly Father. One would think the Son of God, born to be King, would have lived in a palace. But Jesus said, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head” (Matthew 8:20). You see, for those who choose to love Jesus, home is not a physical space. Home is not bricks and mortar. Home is having the Lord Jesus and our Heavenly Father abiding in us. “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them” (John 14:23). Let us choose to focus all our love, time, and attention on this home—our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus making their home in us forever. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Joh14v23 (Nicky B)
