Celebrate small wins

Celebrate small wins

There’s a sports team from abroad that I support even though they lose a lot and never seem to win “The big one”. People often ask why I do this to myself, as the team is not where I’m from and never seem to do well. The answer is hard to explain, but after following the team all this time I’ve learned that you can enjoy the small moments and not just the big wins. Whether it’s a victory against a strong opponent or simply qualifying for a tournament, I’ve learned that joy doesn’t always have to come from massive successes and that smaller achievements can feel just as great. This is now something I’m trying to apply to my everyday life in a spiritual sense, realising I don’t have to “win the big one” to enjoy all the mini successes that God blesses me with on my journey. A Bible verse that’s helping me with this is Proverbs 16:3 which states, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established”. Even when you don’t quite get what you were hoping for, thank God for the amazing small victories He’s given you. Success doesn’t always look how we think it will, but God knows what will truly benefit us. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/pro16v3 (Jean-Luc H)
