Carried by four

Carried by four

How far would you go to help a loved one who is sick? In Mark 2, we read about friends of a paralyzed man carrying him to Jesus. “Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them” (Mark 2:3). When they couldn’t get close to Jesus due to the crowds, they didn’t give up. Instead, they climbed onto the roof, dug a hole through it, and lowered the man down. “When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’” (Mark 2:5). This paralyzed man represents all of us. We can’t find healing by ourselves, through our own efforts or wisdom. We need to be carried by four “friends.” The first Christians “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42). These four supports—reading God’s Word, meeting regularly with fellow believers, consistently remembering Jesus, and praying always—carry us on life’s journey. With these four “friends,” we will be brought to the great healer, no matter how difficult the trials may be. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/act2v42
