They close and open. They conceal and reveal. They admit and release. Gates. Jesus said, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14). Jesus isn’t talking about spending life entering, he’s talking about entering life. The wide entry is an illusion. A wide entry of doing anything to live a narrow life enslaved to sin. The narrow entry is Jesus. A narrow one-man entry leading to a wide life of freedom from sin. But, gates aren’t just entries, they’re exits. “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.” (John 10:9). Jesus calls us to enter through him so we can go out and experience a wide-open life of abundance. “I have come that you may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10). Enter through Jesus. Exit into abundant life. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh10v9-10, https://bit.ly/mat7v13-14
