A new king!

A new king!

A new king! However, he is so young. A huge burden lies on his shoulders as enemies threaten the kingdom. And so when God asks Solomon this question, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” ( 1 Kings 3:5), he has many possible answers. Should he ask for money to finance an army? Or long life to ensure he is around for many years? However, Solomon asks for wisdom. “Give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” (1 Kings 3:9). Some may be called to govern countries or businesses or families, but we are all called to govern our own lives. While we may want to ask God for wealth or long life, the most important gift we can request is His Wisdom. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5). Armed with this wisdom God will rule your life and you will receive many other precious blessings too. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/1ki3v5-9, https://bit.ly/jam1v5
