Refresh Others, Refresh Yourself

Refresh Others, Refresh Yourself

"The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." (Proverbs 11:25 NLT) What a beautiful principle God has given us! When we become a source of encouragement, kindness and generosity to others, we too experience His blessings. Generosity is about far more than giving money. It is about reflecting God's love through our everyday interactions. We can refresh someone by offering a listening ear, speaking words of encouragement, saying thank you, showing patience instead of criticism, or simply giving our time to someone who needs support. We can celebrate another person's success, forgive someone who has hurt us, be open to hospitality, or quietly meet a need without expecting recognition. Jesus demonstrated this principle throughout His life. He came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45). Yet how easily our lives become consumed with our own needs, worries and responsibilities. We become so focused on what we need from others that we overlook what we can give. God invites us to live differently. Imagine the difference we could make if every morning we asked: "Lord, whose life can I refresh today?" And every evening we reflected: "Was someone's burden lighter, their heart encouraged, or their faith strengthened because God placed me in their path today?" When we become channels of God's love, we discover the blessing of a generous heart. (Nicky B). Open Bible – bit.ly/pro11v25, bit.ly/Mar10v45
