AI, the world’s solution?

First came books, then computers and the Internet giving billions access to knowledge. Now we have AI. It can answer any question instantly – from fixing your lawnmower to diagnosing an illness. The world should finally be improving. Yet we see people who are "lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive…,brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure" (2 Timothy 3:2-4). War, division, and hatred are rising. With all the answers at our fingertips, why aren't we moving toward a better world? Because knowledge is not the same as obedience. King Solomon was the AI of the ancient world. He possessed "wisdom and very great insight" (1 Kings 4:29) – yet he still disobeyed God. The same warning applies to us: "Your wisdom and knowledge mislead you when you say to yourself, 'I am, and there is none besides me.'" (Isaiah 47:10). All our knowledge will not save us. Now more than ever we need to obey God: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil." (Proverbs 3:5-7). It's not knowing more we need – it's knowing God (John 17:3). (Craig B).
