When you look at an oak tree, you see a quiet giant. Chop it down and burn it, you get a warm, crackling fire, but physics reveals a breathtaking secret: that fire is only 0.00000002% of its true capacity. Locked within the atoms of a single oak tree is enough rest energy, according to the famous energy equation, E=mc² – to power the entire planet for a year. It looks passive, but it holds unimaginable power. This is a picture of our Heavenly Father. We so easily reduce Him to what we can visually perceive or intellectually comprehend, treating His power like a small campfire to warm our hands. But His true glory is an invisible, infinite ocean of power. When Jesus walked the earth, He looked like an ordinary root out of dry ground, yet hidden within that humble frame was a saviour who had the power to save the whole world from their sins. To unlock the tree's atomic energy, its matter must be completely undone, and so it is with us. True spiritual power is not found in self-sufficiency, but in surrender. When our old nature is crucified with Christ, the weight of sin is broken and the pure light of His resurrection is released through us. "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Galatians 2:20). Trust His hidden saving power today. (Nicky B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Gal2v20
