One thing you quickly learn in a wild place like Kruger National Park is that the bush demands all your senses. Animals are generally very quiet, so you use hearing and sight together to maximize your chances of spotting them. The slightest snapping of a twig or the alarm call of an impala could signal a nearby predator. But heightened awareness requires intention – and it's that intentional looking and listening that rewards you with an awesome sighting: a lion stalking through the undergrowth or a leopard scaling a tree. We live in a world that is, in many ways, like a wildlife park – full of dangers but also incredible things to witness. Yet seeing those things requires focus, and all too often we are too busy to really look and listen. The greatest sighting ever is drawing near: the return of Jesus. For many, everything looks the same. The "bush" hasn't changed. But for those who are truly looking and listening, the signs are there. "When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away….When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:9,28). Listen. Look. Jesus will come back. (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Luk21v9
