Your Most Precious Memory

Your Most Precious Memory

We all have special people in our lives. Some may live far away while others may no longer be with us. All we have are memories of them. Yet these memories are special – like beautiful gifts wrapped and stored in our hearts. Whenever we want, we can open them and enjoy their beauty. The ability to do this is a precious gift given to us by God. Paul says this when talking about the people he loved in Philippi: "I thank my God every time I remember you." (Philippians 1:3). What a beautiful way to express the gift of precious memories – to thank God. Yet there is one memory we should cherish and thank God for as the greatest gift of all. "And Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.'" (Luke 22:19). We are called to cherish this greatest gift – the gift Jesus gave us – his life so we might have life. Whenever you are worried, tired, afraid, or even simply content, take a moment to remember Jesus – not as a distant memory, but as a living, present companion. "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20). (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Phi1v3-5, bit.ly/Luk22v19, bit.ly/Mat28v20
