Walking with God

Walking with God

I enjoy reading about Abraham, who lived with a constant awareness of God’s presence. He left everything familiar – his homeland, security, and plans – because he trusted the One who called him. His life reminds us that faith is a journey into the unknown, guided by God’s promise. A powerful moment occurs in Genesis 24 when Abraham sends his servant on a daunting mission: to travel nearly 900 kilometres to find a wife for Isaac. The servant’s hesitation is understandable. “What if I can’t find a young woman who is willing to go back with me?” Abraham’s response reveals his faith: “The LORD, in whose presence I have lived, will send his angel with you and make your mission successful.”(Genesis 24:39-40). His confidence was not in circumstances, but in God’s involvement. This statement invites us to reflect on how we face challenges. Imagine approaching life with the same assurance that every step is lived in God’s presence, and that He goes before us. Abraham knew God’s guidance was continual. His faith produced quiet confidence that God was already at work. May we learn to live with this awareness, trusting that the Lord walks with us daily and sends His help ahead.
