Faithful and True

Faithful and True

If there are two things that mark our world, it is the erosion of faithfulness and the loss of truth. In Revelation 19:11, John sees Jesus riding a white horse and declares, “He who sat on him was called Faithful and True.” Faithful speaks of character over time. Reliable. Trustworthy. Loyal. It answers the question, will He do what He promised? True speaks of reality and integrity. Genuine. Not a copy. It answers the question, is He the real thing? In our world, promises are easily broken, marriages fail, and commitments fade. Truth is fragile, and reality is often bent to suit convenience. Against this backdrop, Jesus appears as Faithful and True, and John adds, “With justice he judges and wages war.” He comes to establish God’s faithfulness and truth, fully and finally. The One crowned with thorns now bears a name on His robe, Faithful and True. This is not merely what He does; it is who He is. In a world of broken promises and shifting truths, Jesus stands unmoved. Faithful in keeping covenant. True in revealing reality. So the question is not only who Jesus is, but what we will do with Him. Where do you need to trust His faithfulness, and where do you need to realign your life with His truth? (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Rev19v11
