I’ve been guiding a group of teachers through one of my online courses on teaching with technology and AI. While most breezed through, some battled with even simple tasks. My inbox filled with endless emails, and the challenge was replying kindly and patiently when I felt frustrated. Then I reflected on how God must see me – my endless stupidity, stumbling into the same sins, asking the same faithless questions. And it’s not just me, but billions like me, and yet our loving God deals with us patiently. That is patience beyond what we deserve. So when we face things that test our patience, how should we respond, knowing how God deals with us? The best part is we don’t need to rely on our own strength. He offers us His patience as a gift: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience…” (Galatians 5:22–23). Receive this gift with gratitude, thankful for His patience toward us.
