Unfettered and free

Unfettered and free

We recently visited an eco cabin in the mountains where birds were abundant. They were very playful and comfortable with our presence. As soon as we sat down on the deck, the birds would perch nearby, looking for food. A huge storm was brewing, and I wondered where the birds would go to shelter from the storm. However, the birds seemed unconcerned, simply enjoying keeping us company. I love the Message version of Matthew 6:26 – “Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.” If God cares for the birds, he will abundantly care for us. Why can’t we live life this way? “Careless in the care of God”. Not worrying about our finances, our health, the storms of life, or our future. Fully confident that God is taking care of all our needs. Living life in the moment. Rejoicing in the blessings of the day. Surrendering our life to God’s care. “Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.“ (1 Peter 5:7). “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19). Today, live in the present. Give thanks to our Heavenly Father for all his blessings and care, for he cares for you. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/mat6v25-26, http://bit.ly/1pe5v7, http://bit.ly/phi4v19
