Thirsty

Thirsty

I once stayed at a secluded cabin far from civilisation. It was stunning, but there was one problem: the tap water, which came from a borehole, tasted like thick soup. We tried everything to improve it—making tea, coffee, and even trying fizzy vitamin C to mask the taste. However, nothing worked. By the end of our stay, we were so thirsty that we could hardly enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We live in a world that offers the same unsatisfying, brackish water. We are left thirsty for something pure and refreshing. The good news is that Jesus offers us what we truly need. “Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14). Jesus calls us to constantly seek him, as worldly pursuits will leave us wanting more and feeling unfulfilled. Only He can truly quench our thirst. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh4v14 (Hannah B)
