We recently enjoyed a beautiful pilgrimage through gardens, along paths, beside a river, and up to a cross on a hill. Along the way, we stopped to pause and reflect on the surroundings and the lessons they offered. Afterwards, someone shared how they were struck by a place where the river had carved a deep gully into solid rock. It seemed impossible that the gentle, steady flow of water could cut through such hardness. And yet, over thousands of years, it had. That image stayed with me, because this, if you’ve ever wondered, is the sound of grace. God’s continual, soft, persistent movement in our lives. His gentle love slowly reshaping us, even when we’re stubborn, hard, or seemingly immovable. We are undeserving and often resistant, yet God continues His work, grace upon grace. “Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.” (John 1:16). Today, listen for the sound of grace in your life. It may not be loud, but it is always flowing. (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Joh1v16
