The Price of Everything Good

The Price of Everything Good

There is a simple principle that most of life is based on: value is determined by cost. If you pay a little for something, it typically has little value. I see this with online courses I sell – if I give them away for free, people don't value the course and won't complete it. However, the more they pay, the more they value it and are likely to complete it. Sadly, most people attempt to remove any cost yet hope to experience the same value. People won't pay the cost of sacrificing junk food and leisure for a healthy body, or giving up free time to serve others and read God's Word for a life of love, joy, and peace. When the cost is small the value is small, yet the more we are prepared to sacrifice, the greater the blessings it brings. The ultimate example of this is Jesus. For, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." (John 15:13). Jesus paid the ultimate price, giving his life, for the greatest value – eternal life for those who desire it. "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life." (Matthew 19:29). Do you want a life of value? (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/joh15v13, bit.ly/Mat19v29
