Over the years the training method called ‘Progressive Overload’ has been tried and tested as a successful method to improve one’s physical fitness. Progressive overload is a method of strength and hypertrophy training that advocates for the gradual increase of the stress placed upon one’s muscles and heart. The idea is that through slowly increasing your resistance over time—whether it’s lifting something slightly heavier or running slightly further—you’ll become stronger or fitter. This method has been used successfully over the years, but what if I told you it could also be implemented in our minds to make our relationship with God stronger. “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil” (Hebrews 5:14). By regularly immersing ourselves in God’s Word, we grow in wisdom, discernment, and faith. Imagine what would happen if you progressively increased your time reading God’s Word just a little each day. Just like lifting heavier weights strengthens your body, diving deeper into God’s Word strengthens your spirit. Over time, what once felt like a challenge becomes second nature, and your relationship with God becomes stronger than ever. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Heb5v14 (Jean-Luc H)
