Life Cleaning

Life Cleaning

I must admit to not being the most organized or neat person, and as a result our home and work environment can easily deteriorate. Yet while I can exist in the messy chaos, there comes a time when I just want it all neat and clean. This takes effort – throwing out clutter, tidying the places we normally ignore – but afterwards it feels so good. The same is true for our lives. We might exist for a while in chaos, but eventually the clutter wears us down: issues we can't solve, relationships not repaired, acts of kindness left undone, guilt not released. How do we begin to clean up the mess? It's not as simple as grabbing a vacuum cleaner or packing things into drawers. Cleaning up life's difficulties is really challenging, but unlike our homes, we have someone who can do it for us – and it's the only way. "You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you." (John 15:3). Jesus cleans our messy lives like no one else. He gets the real dirt out – sin. But he doesn't stop there; he can tidy relationships, throw out guilt, and bring clarity to issues. "He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit," (Titus 3:5). Let Jesus renew your life. (Craig B). Open Bible – bit.ly/Joh15v3, bit.ly/tit3v5
