Guided through life’s wilds

Guided through life’s wilds

We are walking in the wilds of Kruger National Park, surrounded by elephant, lion, buffalo, hippos, and leopard. It’s beautiful but dangerous. Our safety lies in the hands of two rangers walking ahead with rifles. We follow silently in single file, surrounded by endless bushveld. Suddenly they stop. One points to a barely visible track—“It’s lion, but a day old”—and we continue. Later they stop again. “A breeding herd of buffalo is coming,” one says. I see no tracks, hear no sound. But he heard the call of an ox-pecker bird that follows buffalo—and moments later a massive herd appears. The bush is full of signs, but only the trained can see them. Life is like this. We walk through a world full of unseen dangers and challenges. Without guidance, we remain blind to what lies ahead. But God gives us a guide. “When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth… and he will tell you what is yet to come” (John 16:13). Ask God to walk with you today. Let the Spirit be your guide in this wild journey of life. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh16v13 (Craig B)
